Air conditioning Forest Hill

Forest Hill is houses and townhouses, with very few apartments. Of occupied homes at the 2021 Census, 72.0% were separate houses, 24.9% semi-detached or townhouses and just 3.1% flats or apartments.

So air conditioning Forest Hill homes comes down to two layouts. For a three bedroom house (47.3% of homes have three bedrooms), ducted heating and cooling covers the whole floor plan. A townhouse often suits a multi-head split system, where one outdoor unit runs indoor units in several rooms. We install Daikin, Panasonic, Mitsubishi Electric, Hisense and Samsung, among others, and quote on site for free.

Split or ducted: matching Forest Hill homes and townhouses

Townhouses. With 24.9% of homes semi-detached or townhouses, the choice is often between a multi-head split system and a compact ducted system. Multi-head puts a wall unit in each room you choose, all running from one outdoor unit. Compact ducted uses ceiling outlets instead, where the roof space allows.

Houses. Separate houses are 72.0% of homes, and 31.0% of homes have four or more bedrooms. For those, ducted reverse cycle with MyAir zoning covers every room while letting you run only the zones in use.

A post-WW2 heritage precinct. Forest Hill has one small Heritage Overlay precinct: the Concept Constructions Display Homes Precinct on Canterbury Road (HO282), 3 properties and one of only three post-WW2 precincts in Whitehorse, according to the Whitehorse Heritage Framework 2020. On those properties a street-visible outdoor unit can need a planning permit, so we aim to site the unit where the street cannot see it. There is no designated Bushfire Prone Area in the suburb.
